I'm a tenured assistant professor (professor adjunto 4, in Portuguese) with the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil. In addition, I co-lead the Mechatronics, Control, and Robotics research group (MACRO). I’m also an IEEE Senior Member and the current chair of the Technical Comittee on Robotics of the Brazilian Society of Automatics (2017—2018).

I received the BS degree (2005) in Mechatronics Engineering and the MS degree (2008) in Electrical Engineering, both from University of Brasilia (Brazil), and the PhD degree (2011) from University of Montpellier (France).

My current research interests include both practical and theoretical aspects related to robot kinematics, dynamics, and control with applications to mobile manipulators, humanoids and cooperative manipulation systems.

Feel free to explore my website. In case of any questions and/or suggestions, please send me an email. Last, but not least, if you can read Portuguese, perhaps my blog can be of your interest: You can also follow me on Twitter.
